CoinAppraiser.com is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We want every visitor — regardless of ability or the assistive technology they use — to be able to learn what their coins are worth and reach one of our experts.
Conformance target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines are the recognized standard referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities.
Measures we take
- Semantic HTML structure with a single main heading per page, landmarks, and a “Skip to main content” link.
- Text alternatives (alt text) for images, and a clear call-to-action in place of any coin we have not yet photographed, rather than broken images.
- Full keyboard operability, including the navigation menus, with visible focus indicators.
- Form fields with programmatically associated labels.
- Color combinations chosen to meet the minimum 4.5:1 text contrast ratio.
- Responsive layout that reflows for zoom and small screens.
Ongoing work & known limitations
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. Some older content and third-party components may not yet fully conform, and we are actively remediating them. If you encounter a barrier, please let us know and we will prioritize a fix and provide the information you need in an alternative format.
